WHAT IS NARRATIVE IN PRACTICE ABOUT?

What is narrative for you, in your practice? How can stories or story–telling be of use to a design process? Where do your narratives come from? Are they important to the success of your project? Within creative practice, ‘narrative’ is a subjective and illusive term, and has a wide variety of meanings. As curators we understand narrative to be a tool that creative individuals can use in their process and outcome. This one–day symposium is curated by Despina Hadjilouca, Nina Honiball and Yukie Nagasawa

A
DISCUSSION
OF
NON-LINEAR
NARRATIVE
For our Non-linear narrative workshop we were instructed to create one story per group, each group was formed of approximately five people.

Within our group we decided to create the story of a duck falling in love with a giraffe.

So we each took a scene and make it into a page within our 'Hotglue' just for this work shop, using only the tools offered by 'Hotglue'

The scene that i took in charge was the 'dinner date'. A scene where the duck (Alan) and the giraffe shared a romantic meal together.

My scene will be able to viewed within my 'Hotglue' following the 'VISIT MY NON-LINEAR PRACTICE' link but also within our group we hold an index host which has links to all the scenes including mine.

Also my practice page will hold a link back to the index page.
